aspace 2

heyheyheyhey! happy Sunday to you!

if you are reading this on a Sunday!

if not, happy Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday / the remaining days of the week, to you!!

i love exclamation marks!!!

um, ok. this work is by a brilliant / eccentric / obscenely talented artist called Jean-Robert P.Beffort 😀

Jean-Robert says ~ ~ ~

My collage art started 20+ years ago with art-mail postcard/letter correspondences with my older brother which still continues to this day. Due to this origin my collages nearly always include both text and images that provide a layered visual and mental narrative (telling a story). I find it essential that both modes exist in union for balance of polarities such as left brain/right brain, magnetic/electric, sound/light, and atlantis/lemuria. What started on my kitchen table has now grown to running a)sp.”A”©e Studio•Art•Gallery for the last 5 years in Silver City, New Mexico exhibiting my 2D text/image collages and 3D assemblage sculptures as well as showcasing other local artists.

CHECK JEAN-ROBERT’S FACEBOOK / WEBSITE / GALLERY IF YOU LIKE, OK NICE

ta ta for now [!!!!!!!] x

Fresh Figs #7 ~ Sun Ira

would you like to swing on a star_

hey there wordpress ppl!

here are some NICE things for you this tuesday on the internet

the collage above is called ‘would you like to swing on a star’

and the one below is ‘cow-grid catastophe’ …

the artist’s name is Sun Ira / Ira Carter and here’s what he has to say ~ ~ ~

Artistic history starts when I was a wee chile and encouraged by my parents. Went off to art school while dinosaurs still roamed the Earth. Became a graphic artist working in the SF Bay area. Got in on the ground floor of the Mac revolution in 1984 and taught myself how to make it do what I wanted. My art practice is informed by Dada and the desire to make confrontational but humorous art that tells truth to power in a world full of consumption, exploitation, and militarism. My hope is that a sense of play and holy foolishness comes across.

here’s Sun’s beeyootiful tumblr

hope your week is kol as heck 😉 [from Ben x]
