London must be the foggy, dreary black and white, and Rome is full of colorful vitality. Then again, I’ve never been to either.

  2. Hello, Fig says:

there are 2 separate images for this one, kerbey – rome is the spanish steps / flowers / the top of a bottle of cinzano, and london is lights / taxis / big ben … πŸ™‚

  3. Hello, Fig says:

    thank u, julie! x

  4. Hey Fig, I must say that, although I was in London two weeks ago and it really impressed me by its beauty, your Rome collage here is far better! It actually reminded me of the city I had seen back in 2009-> http://kouremenosmallias.wordpress.com/2013/10/25/rome-2009/

I really like this piece, is it a diptych? It works very well in contrasting place with an individual and memory.

    • Hello, Fig says:

nope, not quite a diptych, only the london one actually exists now, i overlaid the rome one. you can kind of see it poking out from under her fingers

  9. penpusherpen says:

Love how you’ve represented the characters of the two cities. A lot of truth and really cool collages but London definitely gets the raw end of the color wheel πŸ™‚

    • Hello, Fig says:

hey jackie, sorry for the late reply.. yep tbh i’ve never been to rome so maybe that one’s a bit idealised.. london feels a lot more like home i guess πŸ™‚
